Brewing coffee

Brewing coffee is the process of adding flavor to water with ground and roasted coffee beans.

Brewing the perfect cup of coffee is difficult. Frequently, it is scalded or the grinds haven’t been brewed long enough. In the United States, millions of people commence their day with a standard cup of black coffee. Some coffee drinkers prefer their coffee black, others like cream and sugar, but numerous recipes and a variety of coffee beans are required to have a more enjoyable coffee experience.

2 Brewing methods

Drip Brewing

Drip Brewing is the most common method in the US for brewing coffee.

Most coffee machines do not reach fast enough the right temperature to brew a couple of cups. If you are only going to make a few cups, then better use the French press method.

The French Press

The process is very simple: add the required amount of ground coffee in a glass pot. Follow by pouring in water which is not quite boiling and place the lid with the filter on top to hold the heat (but do not press). Then let wait for about 3 to 4 minutes and slowly press down the filter to push down the grounds.

Use a medium to coarse grind.

The superiority of this method over drip brewing might be due to the fact that the whole of the beans is in contact with water at equal amount of time.
